On June 12th, the exchange meeting on the "Quality Grading Standard for Home Building Materials Products" was successfully held at the Shenzhen Furniture Design and R&D Headquarters Base. Yang Lina, a renowned expert in product quality in the industry, vice president of Shenzhen Furniture Research and Development Institute, and general manager of Sade Testing, expounded on the application of quality grading and evaluation in home building materials products, highlighting how quality can empower brand enhancement. In the series of group standards T/CAS 991 "Grading Specifications for Home Building Materials Product Quality" initiated by the Home Building Materials Quality Professional Committee of the China Association for Standardization, the Shenzhen Furniture Research and Development Institute and Sade Testing led the drafting of the mattress quality grading standard. Vice President Yang Lina shared on the spot the research, determination and evaluation of mattress quality grading indicators as well as the terminal application scenarios, and expressed that she would continue to work with the Home Building Materials Quality Professional Committee of the China Association for Standardization and Zhejiang Tmall Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly study the quality grading evaluation standards for home building materials products.
Zhou Yanyue, deputy director of the Home Building Materials Quality Professional Committee of the China Association for Standardization, said: In early 2024, the Home Building Materials Quality Specialized Committee of the China Association for Standardization, in collaboration with Zhejiang Tmall Technology Co., LTD., organized government experts, standardization experts, testing experts, certification experts, and leading brand enterprises in the industry to identify product categories with concentrated pain points from the perspective of consumers, and implement the work of "conducting product quality grading" proposed by the State Administration for Market Regulation. The organization has formulated the first batch of quality grading series group standards for the home building materials industry. The key focus of the next step of work is to collaborate with Shenzhen Furniture Research and Development Institute and Sade Testing to formulate quality grading and evaluation standards for smart mattresses and ordinary sofas.
During the 6.18 promotion period of e-commerce platforms, Mr. Dongyuan, the person in charge of the quality project of Tmall Home Decoration, shared online the practical application of the quality grading standards for home decoration products on Tmall Mall, encouraging more furniture brands to take quality grading as a handle to broaden new ideas for brand marketing.

After sample testing and institutional evaluation, three enterprises, namely Mousse Health Sleep Co., LTD., Shenzhen Yalan Furniture Co., Ltd. and Tangshan Linpeng Household Products Co., LTD., as industry benchmarks, have been awarded the first batch of 5A-level evaluation certificates for spring soft mattresses. Liu Lina, the deputy secretary-general of the Shenzhen Furniture Industry Association, and Hu Shunjie, the business manager of Zhongji Jidong Certification and Testing (Shanghai) Co., LTD., were invited to present awards to the enterprises.
