How important are toys to cats?
Cats need some excitement in their lives to ensure physical and mental health, especially indoor pets that are kept indoors all day long. As long as it is planned in advance, an interesting family life can be provided for cats.
Playing is an important channel for cats to expend their excess energy. Any cat deprived of the opportunity to hunt and sneak is likely to become irritable and stressed, which can lead to behavioral problems. The mental and physical stimulation gained from play is as important for adult cats as for kittens. Most cats, especially those that have been neutered, still retain their playful consciousness when they are old.
Cats love toys that can trigger their instincts to chase, track and raid, so their hunting needs can be met by providing realistic alternatives. Interactive toys, such as cat toys with feathers or catnip mouse toys, can be grabbed or hit by the cat with its PAWS, or you can drag them along the ground for the cat to chase. A cat teaser can keep your hand away from the cat's PAWS and teeth when the cat attacks its "prey".
